vb.org Archive - View Single Post - restriced pages for registered users

I'm looking to provide my registered users with various restricted materials (html pages as well as pdf files for download). i'm looking for a hack that will allow for this. Ideally it would work like this:
1. a user would click a link on a public page
2. the link is for materials available only to registered users
3. the user is required to log in before accessing the materials (or register if not already)
Can anyone help with this?
