This is because I have some large forums which I plan to upgrade to vB in the future with a full license, one for each one...BUT I also have several minor forums (like with 10-100 users or there about, with only small activity) and it would really be a big waste of money to have to buy licenses for each and every one of them just for something that small. I could use a free board, but I'd really like to get used to working with just ONE board and learn the different ins and outs of it.

You think they could ever do that?

the last version of vBlite was discontinued because it wasnt even a real build of vB just a striped down towned down crappy vB version >.<
