Do this:
Open a CMD prompt in the /bin folder and type:
\bin> mysql --user=root mysql
Press ENTER. Type:
mysql> GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO root@localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'your_password' WITH GRANT OPTION;
