how do those groups know which templates belong to them? I have the vbArticles group, and made a new template myself, called vbArticles_articleview2

should it automatically put it in the group or do i need to update something somewhere? Right now it lists it under custom templates, so i must be overlooking something

Each group knows what templates are in it based on the templates name, for example $only['showthread'] will have all the showthread* templates grouped together in the ACP (where star is nothing or the rest of the template name).

Note these only affect Standard Templates and not custom added ones. IIRC TWT Commish did a hack to allow grouping custom templates.
