Not sure about your php question, but im pretty sure it wont bring your board to its knees. I've installed the portal and it worked fine apart from a mysql question which i fixed easily. Only problem now is the styles arent showing properly on forum home inside table is showing ok, but bckground of page is still purple

Anyways ronb im sure you will like the portal it is brilliant. Maybe install it on a test board first so you can get used to it etc?
