Yeah I saw that but yours doesn't work for any usergroups, just 5,6,7, I figured I'd release this one so users can easily add tags for any group from the edit page. Yours is a nice hack nonetheless though.

for the opening tags would it be possible to just add an image ? so u can add usergroup images ? i dont see y not... also is it possible to use this formting in the post bit ?

About the images, they won't work because when its parsed it will be converted into something like <font color=red>Username</font>.. also for images to work, you'd have to have a seperate image for each user you have, then specify the userid of who can use it, I know its possible because I use it on my forum ^^ only a little modifcation to the function is required.

To get the hack to work with postbits, I'd have to figure out the best way to go about that since it can interfere with the Lesane store hack (italic and glowing usernames)...

If anyone wants it to get it to work with the memberlist, just let me know

I've installed your hack and now usergroup.php(3) isn't working in my admin folder.

I'm running vB 2.3.2 with .php3 extensions(I wanted to try somethign new ).

All I get is a blank page.

Thats very wierd.. probably check your edits again, if you can't get it to work you can PM your file to me and I'll take a look.
