1000 chars limit for a maximum of 8 lines are 125 chars per line.
as we have a limit set up for ca. 80 chars per line you have 45 chars for vbcode usage per line.
i think that's really enough and we won't change it.

as said our rule is 80 chars per line, most of the time we're not saing anything if you exceed this limit (as you do currently) but we won't support you can far beyond our rules

so, the answer is NO, 1000 chars are really enough
