Currently, if a new user registers with no prior islandmix.com cookies... they experience the following problems:

- They have to use my Photopost login workaround
-They cannot click the "EDIT PROFILE" link and -login from there...
- They cannot use any original VB logins cuz it will not recognize their password?
- They cannot request PASSWORD cuz the password sent via email would not be correct.
- Don't know if it's related but i have an increased amount of ppl not getting their login info when they sign up... i;ll check my maillog for that though...

Workarounds:

- I have changed the VB login to use my Photopost login that integrates to the VB user db
- I have added an extra step in the logout to ensure that they logout of Photopost too

HACKS:

- all were removed and problem still occurred.

Question: How do I synchronize the encrypted passwords or get this cookie problem solved... but i don't think it's cookies cuz new users have the prob...

p.s. this has also happened me when I delete all of my cookies or try a new machine and login with a new users account.

p.s.s my PP config matches the VB cookie path and domain setups as well...

I AM WILLING TO TRY ANY SUGGESTIONS...

No disrespect intended, but if all the hacks were removed, the problem would be gone, too

Try reuploading the original vB files from the Member's Area.
