if was me i would help it - cause i have feeling but i was only stating the fact that they dont need to hence why they proberly drove off.

Actually dogs are nicer and do more for you.Dogs protect the home which is mainly their function.What does a cat do ?
Its basically a wild animal and attaches itself to the home it lives in whereas a dog attaches itself to a person.
