Default
Just make a php page on your server that sets cookies based on user supplied data, like in the email give the link http://www.server.com/cookie.php?id=...jmas83mma93ka2 which would be the userid on the forum and the password hash.
Then in your php page set bbuserid and bbpassword cookies to the supplied values and redirect to the forum.
