The only thing I can think to add to this, if your host supports it is to setup a managed domain redirect one of your domains to a style on your forum for the second area of your site.

domain1 = vb instal
domain2 = vb style of main forum, with domain managed redirect set to permanent, if you use cpanel or plesk as a website control system

the managed redirect would keep the url of the domain but forward people to say a sub forum, that has a different style setup

.. or do a $http_server if statement as stated above by Erwin.
