most of those don't really matter on my forums though. I don't want global moderators so that isn't an issue. I have several competent administrators so banning isn't usually an issue and if it is we can communicate that need across the sites very quickly. Now the password changes I can see as a problem, but honestly if a user can't remember their password then they will have to deal with updating and changing it on each site. This setup probably isn't ideal for everyone, but with my network and my needs I think it fits better than every other solution I have come across.

and yes, I have searched. I have been trying to come up with something for this for several months. I know the benefits and problems with each decision and again feel that this is probably the best solution for my network.
