well its not too bad now i narrowed it down to 27after getting rid of a few hacks and replacing them with template versions plus i changed the vb3 last post hack (krakkens) for Ppns version
at one point i was at 37 queries

27 logged in 25 logged out
and thats with like nearly 100 hacks installed

taking out the search index made it extremely faster i used the mysql 4 search engine hack in the beta forum its excellent
