Well baicly, I have seen this done before ( at www.ffxo .com Link is down, forum is dead)

but, what it was, was like you could add an award under the post bit, and it was done through the admin cp, you chose the user, and added the award, and along with it, you could choose a smilie on top of the award, if you would be able to do this, it woudl be great
