I've searched the forums, but can't find one, so....

Is there a hack around that will give users the option of not displaying smilies?

Now I love the little beggars, and have 190 at the last count. Most people seem to love them but I have a significant vocal minority who hate them. I mean rabidly.

I noticed Invision board has the option to switch them off in User Options, and instead you just see the code. I think that looks messier, but I guess it's a trade off.

So is there a hack, and if not, anyone know if it's possible?
