Hi Teck,
I'm
dying to try this! I'm currently using VBPortal Lite, but it uses 49/51 queries. As I just got thrown out by my last host for excessive mysql usuage, I'm anxious to get the count down, even though my current host says I'm doing ok.
Can I install this without interferring with the current VBPortal set up? I don't want to disrupt my board while I'm getting things set up.
Currently the index directs to vbportals page, but putting your index file in the root interferes with that. Would it still work if I renamed the index to 'home.php'? That way the portal would only be called when that is included in the url ie:
www.mysite.com/home.php. As nobody else would know that url then I could play about setting things up, while the VBPortal operates simultaneously. When it's all set up, I can then delete VBPortal, and no disruption to anyone.
Is this possible?
Thanks for any advice.
ETA: Ooh, I've just found out, I can indeed do that. Didn't work at first now it does. Cool. I shall now go play!
