IIRC Kurafire and I use about the same method for forum permissions and it does work, but only if the permissions are set as they should be, so I'd be willing to bet that's what your problem is.

Yeah, and it works for everyone else, and it's (I think) mostly the same section of code to check for permissions as is used in vB's own files... :/
