It's sad but true. Sometimes all you can do is start from scratch. What I usually do in this case is make a copy of my current file, then upload the original. Then if everything works fine then, I use the hacked file to add hacks back part by part until I come accross the error again. Then I have a better idea waht caused it.

Another good thing to do is make backups to all your files before hacking them. This way reverting back is very easy. Just change the filenames around and boom. You're back to the last working version or your forums.
