ElenaBB - It pulls a different header than your forums header since not everyone wants it to be the same. You should be able to edit that to match your forums header though.

Strider Xero - No, you can use an existing news forum, but either way the script will only recognize posts that were made after the script was installed. A new field was added to the post table during the installation to determine if the post is the first in the thread. Without this it would sometimes pull random posts for some reason. The latest threads icon thing is caused by a small typo which results in the threads not being displayed if that is turned off. I'll be releasing a new version this week that will fix that and add a couple of other small things options. For now I would suggest just leaving that on and editing the index_threadbit template to remove the icon from there.
