I would like to to know of a way to display something other than the showthread view to a particular user based on User ID. I want them to see the main forum display but when they view a thread, it will do something else (example: call a template, etc).

What I need to know is where would I insert an if/then or case statement to make this happen? Once I know where to put it, I can maybe figure out what I want to do lol

Or

if anyone knows of an evil hack where I can base it on User ID to where it freezes their browser up, or something to that effect, please let me know
