Welcome to my official help thread, ladies and gentleman. Since I'm such a newbie at working with PHP, and all this vBulletin stuff, I thought this thread might be of use to me, and MAYBE some other newbies.

Problem #1

Note Given:

If you have access to your shell, upload the file vbproarcade.sql and then execute:

mysql -u -p -D

...and once you are in the program...

source vbproarcade.sql;

You should see something like:

Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.03 sec)
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)

If you got that, it worked well.

Alternately, or if you DON'T have access to your shell, you may load up vbproarcade.sql in your favorite text editor, and copy/paste the queries individually into either phpMyAdmin or the vBulletin Admin Panel IF you have FireFly's "Run a Query" hack installed.

Question: What exactly is a shell? I know that we don't have FireFly's Run a Query hack installed, leaving me with the first choice. But I don't know what a shell is. What's a shell?
