and though I lack the skills to do it, it seems like it would be a simple enough thnig to accomplish.
add a profiles section to the CP, and set up an "altertable" routine for the user info table with a script to write the added fields to the profile template.
the admin could then adjust the template to show the field where they wanted it.
One of the reasons I've been giving this so much thought is that I want to add an upload procedure for custom icons and sig images, that way I can control the size and weight issues
anyway, someone tell me if I'm on the right track or not?
