vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Auto welcome new user after they have activated their account?

I have installed Welcome new user in forum hack and it works great but I have also made the modifications listed in Not show users name as latest registered member until.... .

Any suggestions on how to modify the welcome message so that it only appears after the user has activated their account like the newest user modification in the second link? I hope that makes sense.
