Ummm..
Well This is what I think, I think Microsoft should distribute there windows o/s product as a open-source free product.
They have many other products that would be able to bring enough profits. Maybe even look into a better server solution, something that in the long run will bring them more profits.
Windows was really the user-friendly solution, but now with very young people making websites, and programing, and do ++++ like that at a very young age, there not gonna care about user-friendly crap, there most-likly going to move on to something challenging.
When that does happen, only the computer-illeterate will be using windows, and the adults whom are in there 30's and 40's will be still using a "user-friendly" solution when there in there 70's, 80's 90's 100's, and with the ongoing medical advancements maybe in there 110's and 130's.
Anyways, what I am saying is, Microsoft has to find a new way to attract the more younger (Who are also the ones who know what they want at this time and have a good layout of what they use there computer for) group.
I think Going Open-Source is pretty good idea, mainly because its not being release to the public as of now, but to educational departments
Anyways though everything I said is just jumbled around, if you are smart you would be able to decipher what I am saying
