first of all if you try to use Windows Media Player you are blocking out all Unix, Mac and other non-windows users. You best stay away from that.

BUT....I have actually been toying with the idea of a FLASH panel integrated into any posts that have Audio uploads and streaming the media file from FLASH. It would become superintensive with alot of uploads, but that's the only sur-fire cross browser method I can think of.
