vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Question about New Threads/New Posts

I have installed the hack from this site that allows members to click on a new threads/new posts section at top of forums to view most recent post. The question has been posed to me if there is a way to make those member specific. For example, some members cant see all of the forums on the board yet the new threads/new posts acts like they can, but when they click the link it says no new posts naturally.

Is there a way around this?
