...Or maybe another way of restating my question is:

I set up a new Group (called Trial Members), with restricted access to create new threads.

I would like to have all new members go into this "Trial Membership" group initially until they post 12 posts, at which point, they would be upgraded to the usual "Registered Members" Group and get into the typical "Junior Member, etc." ladder.
