I totally agree with you that it is much cheaper when someone can spread the cost of development out over many different people.
But... I still think $800 for a support ticket hack is a little much. Honestly if I knew just a little bit more I could probably do it, which is most likely what I will do as I can't afford $800 at all for a support system.
Another problem I have is that I plan to spread this support system out over a couple different sites (i.e. Installing it on a couple different sites not sharing of a support ticket database) and it would be VERY cost prohibitive for me to pay $800 for a license for each site.
Thanks for all your posts though. I really wish I could have found someone to do something like this as I'm sure it would have been a great addon.
