Tracking users on non-vbb pages for inclusion on the who's online

A site I'm working has been recently redone to be entirely PHP powered, and I was wondering if a hack exists that would track users on non-vbb pages for inclusion on the who's online?

I looked at tubedoggs hack, but, unless I'm wrong, this just includes the who's online in other pages.
