Those last two suggestions are the best. if you want to go the simplist route. Currently I'm trying to search for only VBhacker hacks and it's pain finding any. I don't really want to go through every hack to see if it has a VBhacker equivelent.
Ultimately a whole new database for just VBhacks would be the best choice. For everyone else that buys a Vbulletin and wants interesting new features but doesn't have a clue how to hack or doesn't have the time to copy and paste PHP all day.
Heck you could take VB.org and split it up into two different sections. One section for people who like code and one section for people who cringe at the sight of it.
