Anyone out there know of a way to extend vB's session management? I want to use the vB database for other parts of the site.

Is it just a matter of copying all the various include files (globals.php, functions.php, db_mysql.php etc.) to a new location, then changing the urls in those files, and finally including globals.php on the pages I want to protect?
