Good evening,

So, I want to start off with explaining that I'm not very good at programming in PHP, but I wanted to give it a try anyway and was looking to see if anyone had any pointers, tips, or general help to make this process run smoothly.

(Unless someone knows of an actively working mod for this, then I would definitely be up to trying it out, if not, programming it myself is the best way to kick it off)

What I am aiming for;

I am trying to start off by implementing a calendar into groups that are made, generally for events and times/dates that people would be actively doing something within that group. On top of that, I wanted to try to add a block on the front page/forums page that would showcase the events coming up within the group that they have set to their primary.

Now, I understand what I need to start off with, and have the manual and some coding pages up to try to walk me through this, but I wanted to know if anyone had any other links, plugins that already do this, or things of that nature that could make the process smoother for me (again, done some programming in the past but this isn't in my range of experience).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
