VB has had blogs since version 4.0.0 (actually earlier though they are no longer available for VB 3.x) and currently at VB 5.4.2.

That said if you have an add-on that later becomes an official VB feature, it depends. If VB integrates the actual add-on then yes your code will work but more likely VB makes a similar feature with its own code in which case your data will not import automatically.
