Recently I have this weird issue that whenever I visit my VB 4.2.3 forum I get a cpu load spike (Like %400) on my PC. And the load gets back to normal as soon as I close the tab. Using top command I see that the load belongs to the browser (Chrome, Firefox and Opera are being tested and all have the same high load issue)

My PC is quite high end and does not have this issue with any other site/forum.

I upgraded the forum from 4.2.2 to 4.2.3 and disabled all plugins and ads but these did not solve the problem.

I suspect that some cryptomining malwere is being injected to the site, because I had the same issue on another (non-forum) site and by removing some bad ad I could resolve it. But I have no proof in this case.

I am wondering what could cause this high load, and how to find/remove it?

Really appreciate your help, as this problem bugs me for days.
