Hi all, be gentle with me as I'm trying to teach myself as I go along

I'm thinking my forum needs automatic email notification when someone posts a reply on a thread (that someone has commented on) OR if a new thread is started.

Im thinking it will keep people informed and hopefully get them returning. I've seen it on other sites i'm on and I'd like it on mine.

Is this a standard feature on VB (the Automatic Thread Subscription Mode??)or do I have to have plug ins?
