First I suggest you change passwords on everything from the cPanel or Plex Panel to the vBulletin administrators (all of them).

Make sure you don't have any new admin accounts you didn't create.

Replace your .htaccess file with the one from the upload folder.

Upgrade to version 4.2.5 from version 4.2.2.

Check for suspect file versions. Delete any suspect files.
