Then I suggest one of two things...

1.) Make a new style, and edit the templates in that one first, before applying them to the main style...

2.) Copy the contents of the template to a notepad document before modifying it, and then if it goes pear-shaped, you can replace it quickly...

And yes...I know how you feel...But sometimes, you have to take a risk!
