I personally would have no issue with logging a hook request. If I'm spending hours developing a mod to make my forum do what I want, what would an extra five minutes be to get my hook into the product release so I don't have to manually put it in every upgrade. Everyone is different, that's where we differ which is fine and why myself and Paul seems to have went meh bleh to each other regarding this subject, just a matter of opinion . Years ago I thought like you, now I simply don't, over time as they say but again we may always differ "to each their own". I'm still baffled as to why it was hacked and slashed to begin with, still makes no sense especially now with it being re-implemented/improved upon again, seems like we went back a few notches and aren't moving forward in a very productive manner, instead just going back to zero every so often .
