No, you made a backup after the fact, after the damage was already done. Just because you didn't have problems before, doesn't mean you won't the next time. Never assume things will work, always assume they won't and prepare for it.

I'm not saying you have to pay to get this fixed. I'm saying if you don't want to pay, then you must wait.
