PHP 5.2.17 and MySQL 5.5.42-37.1-log

Ok from what I see in Google, I need to use PHP version 5.3

So, if I change my PHP version at the server to 5.3, will my two other vBulletin forums still work? Or will I have compatibility issues with switching from 5.2 to 5.3

It appears I'm already in over my head!
