Have you tried removing the line you added to your .htaccess and then seeing if the link works?

Is there anything in your error_logs (if you don't know where they are, ask your host) at this time?

Are all your files totally default and no modifications are on the site?

I also just realized that you said you are clicking on this link from the postbit.... where are you seeing this link in the postbit? I have it on the profile page, but not in the postbit.
