i thought that's where i should be changing things before. i was going nuts because i changed every last thing in nav just to see if i could get it changed back to when i first installed this theme.
Hit reset on it because something i'd done before screwed stuff up and it changed that nav to another color.

the issue was the image they are using (after hitting the revert all changes or w/e it was)

so i just took one of their nav images and did an overlay of color to give it sort of a transition look

The top bar is vbsocial notification.. playing around with the free version till i can buy it and then remove the navbar totally for notifications.
