You will then upload everything in the godaddy public_html directory to the same on your new server. You will need to create a new database and database user, enter that info in your config and import the database using phpadmin or ssh.

More to do as well with permissions and image paths..
Thank you Richie, can you elaborate on how I can export my database please? how would I run a complete backup?

As for new database and database user, IIRC I can make those the same as the ones I currently have so things follow suit. How can I see what they currently are so I can create the same ones again? Thank you for your input!
