Most people are being hit with a lot of spam these days. Some things you can do to reduce this are :

it's very simple

1. AdminCP > vBulletin Options >> Human Verification Options -> Enable reCAPTCHA™

you will get your recaptcha key here -> http://www.google.com/recaptcha

2. Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> User Registration Options -> Enable Coppa

3. AdminCP -> Plugin & Products -> Install VSa - Advanced Registration

Product Options : Enable Whole Product -> Yes

Random Questions : Yes

User must answer random question during registration? [Setup] Click on setup link and set your question and answer ..

That's it .. Bots cannot register on your forum .. you don't need to moderate new members
