This behavior just started on our VB3.8.7 (current patch level) forum with Sphinx installed and running for years.

Every search all of a sudden returns "Could not find phrase: '1'".

Any help, even help that points me in the right direction for debugging the problem, would be appreciated.

Followup: in case the indices were corrupt I reindexed from scratch. The error did not go away.

Also, finduser works perfectly if that helps narrow the problem?
