Since we are now officially off the rails, we used facebook as a forum for 3 months before I couldn't handle it anymore and started a forum. Forums are for discussions, facebook is for bragging, worthless banter, and making Mark Zukerberg filthy rich. Back on the rails: There will always be a demand for forum software. The software will evolve. There may be changes in staff, developers, and users, but major changes in software is sometimes necessary OR not but the people in charge have the right to do whatever they want with it for whatever reason they want. As with any for profit business, it's all about the money, and in the end, that's all that matters.
