I answered my own question. I was still pissing off my host with my previous mailqueue schedule, so I dropped it down to 60/hour. I can confirm that the PM notification E-mails run fine through the mailqueue. The number in vB CP is slowly counting down and haven't heard from the host yet. Good enough pace for our purposes but just need to plan ahead a bit.
