I actually found a plugin which kind of does what I need to have, I found it here:

It's not perfectly the same but yeah, that's not the end of the world :-).

Anyway, I'm not planning to convert my current SMF layout to vBulletin.
I'm modifying the "Paragon" premium theme to my needs and improving it a bit to my needs.
I'll share the result once I'm done -- No clue where to post it then, yet :-D.
