I think the mindset of the developers of vBulletin 5 need to change in order for it to be a success.

For example; if they added a hook/plugin system such as the one in vBulletin 4 since its release, there were more vBulletin 5 add-ons and probably more sales as well. No one wants a stock and empty looking vBulletin 5 forum without any useful add-ons.
