Agreed but we all know that won't happen in this lifetime or the next.

THAT scares me personally. So far the company Internet Brands has had horrible customer service for vBulletin and they have really shown how greedy they can be! Seriously??? You make people pay $250 right after they just paid you $285 for a license all under the heading of you are upgrading from vB4 to vB5! This to me is absolutely ludicrous and the main reason I have
NOT bought vB5 not to mention that its even
LESS stable than vB4 was when it first came out.

I agree & disagree with your statements.
1. Not everyone jumped ship to XenForo. Although i find I really liked several things about XenForo the main reason I do not use it on a regular basis is because of how screwed up the usergroup permissions are. It takes a degree in Rocket Science to set it up and its not easier than vBulletin.
2. Agree with paying one price and then getting hit with another within 20 seconds of purchase it seems. I bought my vB4 license and then they announced about 3 months later that before the year was up that my vBulletin 4 license would be obsolete! Seriously??? Absolutely ridiculous! Bad, bad business IMO.
3. vBulletin 4 does not max out all servers although it does happen on some hosts and some servers, so saying that is not 100% true is also not true. I've run vB4 on many different servers with different hosts and have had different results each time. vBulletin 4 is very slow and overcomplicated code wise hence the reason it loads so slowly for some servers and does not on others.

Convicing people to upgrade their board to vb4 years ago, and to vb5 one year ago was like:

Agreed 110%! Well said!
